The planning document describes the first phase of a plan for MERLOT to provide a set of services that enables the domestic and international Space community to bridge the gaps between the workforce and education, between content providers and users, and between needs and solutions. ? MERLOT can make it easy to bring the motivating content and curriculum of Space authored by the Space community for use by the educational community. A plan of first steps in building support the the MERLOT-Space collection development is described.
