Daniweb provides an online medium that pairs Information Technology questions with professionals capable of answering them. The homepage is subjugated into seven sections with each section containing multiple threads. A thread consists of a question that a user will initially post such as “how do I convert a stack”? A qualified professional will respond to the thread, at which time more qualified professionals can piggyback on the response. Hence a dialogue is started that will ultimately benefit the user who posed the initial question. To be designated as a qualified professional one must register with daniweb and provide references. The seven sections are broken down as follows: software development, web development, site management, tech talk, IT water cooler, tutorials, and code snippets. There are ten threads, arranged by date created, under each section with each new thread bumping off the oldest thread.
