I used to use CircuitLab a lot before they started charging a subscription. It is OK and easy to use but is very limited in what can be drawn and simulated.
I also helped out on their forums until recently.
A more versatile tool I have used much more in the last 3 years is EasyEDA.com.
This, like CircuitLab, is a web-based schematic capture and simulation tool but also adds PCB design and - optionally - manufacture.
The feature set for all three aspects of schematic capture, (ngspice) simulation and PCB design is much greater than CircuitLab with full schematic symbol and PCB footprint creation and editing and .model and .subckt spice model import and editing.
Even better is that EasyEDA.com is free for a small number of public and an unlimited number of public projects, with no restrictions on access to features and functionality.
