This website is an information index of processes in biology, chemistry, genetics, nutrition or many other science topics. It has a well organized site complete with an encyclopedia index sytem to guide you to a specific focus. I found this site while trying to learn more about phytochromes and the physical movements accomplised by plants. The link was informative and accurate. I am a visual person so I would have appreciated more colorful, lables graphs and figures. However the information and its formatting in the site was easily digestable. The targetted demographic begins at lower elementary levels, all the up to medical degree students. There is a section on the site that will provide experiments to test scientific theories and processes. They also provide puzzels and games that allows the informatin to be cultivated and transformed into helpful tactics for real-world problems.
5 stars! This site seems to be of the highest quality of scientific information for non-professionals. It is easily legible, organized and easy to navigate. The site is designed for students so its teaching capability is fantastic. It even encourages students to strive to learn more with the information index, descriptive and illuminating experimants and fun puzzles that relate to the real world.
My only complaint is that the creators of the site advertise their book on the site and its littered with the ads for the book that are so large and in the way you have to scroll down past the very large ad on almost every page.
