This is a great authentic activity. You maximize transfer and generalizations of the concepts and optimize relevance, value, and authenticity by applying them to real-world situations of the recycle and reuse programs (UDL 3.4) You also vary the methods for response and optimize individual choice by using different assessments to test the students knowledge. I really like the final activity because that activity will allow the students to attach meaning their activity.

Technical Remarks:

I would just go back and slowly read everything. There are a few spelling and gramatical errors, but nothing major. Overall, it is a great project! I would really be interested in this lesson plan in detail.
