Overall, this is a high-quality, multimedia resource that accurately presents curricula from prehistory to contemporary art. The materials could be used in class or as homework assignments for a flipped class session for short- and longer-term courses. Topics covered in the resources could be easily extracted as stand-alone modules or to supplement an instructor's existing course material. If the materials are used as homework assignments, the instructor would need to provide detailed instructions on where to locate the information the learner needs to access, since the topics are not succinctly organized in a linear manner. An outline for a syllabus is provided, but the instructor would need to develop specific learning outcomes. The materials also include an e-textbook that could be downloaded as a PDF or printed for a nominal (in terms of art history textbook costs) fee.

This material will be quite useful for my Intro to Humanities course.  My course follows particular time periods and emphases, and there appear to be quite a few audiovideo clips at this website that I could use along with the required text.  I'm looking forward to bringing in some clips the next time I teach the course.

Technical Remarks:

The clips I previewed broke up on my home computer.  My highspeed satellite connection could be slow at this time or not appropriate for these clips.  I'll test the clips at the university before making my final decision about using them.
