Built primarily to support a MOOC on Python programming by Rice University, this online tool allows Python learners to try out their programs without a need to setup a development environment in their own machines. This is now used for teaching in university computer science courses as well.

It is possible to execute programs both with textual and graphical interfaces, the latter using the simplegui library, and there are also debug capabilities. In addition, the programs are stored in unique URLs (in reality one URL per saved version of the program), which makes it easy to share them.
