Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) Curriculum Update with Industry

Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) Curriculum Update with Industry

These are the slides from a webinar that was recorded October 1, 2010. FPGA usage has grown considerably across various industry sectors over the past few years. Digital design and other electronics components classes help fill the knowledge gaps that may be present, but true validation of this curriculum has not occurred until recently. Under an externship for the High Tech Workforce Initiative, faculty members Ui Luu and Bassam Matar from two Maricopa Community Colleges validated their curriculum with local industry and received instruction on programming verification. This free webinar will detail the process they went through, their findings, and provide resources for faculty who teach in these areas. Presenters: Ui Luu, Electronics Instructor, Glendale Community College, and Bassam Matar, Engineering Instructor, Chandler Gilbert Community College.
