  • Arts / Fine Arts (Advanced)
    Before I decided to pursue a career in science, I was an art major. My art method of choice is drawing, especially with bic pens. I find that the tedium involved in making realistic shading with a pen is a form of meditation for me. I also have 2 years of glass blowing under my belt, the extreme heat and careful use of gravity remind me that science and creativity greatly intertwined.
  • Science and Technology / Geoscience (Advanced)
    My main interest in geology comes from the desire to understand the history of the Earth as a whole. As such, I enjoy paleo map making and unfogging the puzzles of the past through careful detective work.
