Exercise

Access the web site for The Empire that was Russia. This site is a collection
of photographs taken by the Russian photographer Sergei Mikhailovich
Prokudin-Gorskii, the Tsar's photographer. Access each of the following files
to view images and read text: Sergei Mikhailovich Prokudin-Gorskii,
Architecture, Ethnic Diversity, People at Work, and Transportation. Write a 5-7
page paper describing the Russian Empire before 1917. Be sure to include
conclusions about whether or not was Russia was prepared to fight what became
World War I.
